Mountain Cattlemen's Association 2023 Annual G2G
Mountain Cattlemen first crossed the Great Dividing Range in 1834, and are regarded as one of the first pioneering groups in regional Victoria. Their legacy, the iconic portrayal of the Australian bush and its people, are those represented by the Mountain Cattlemen’s Association of Victoria. Grazing cattle in the high country is where the organisation started, but it has grown to be much more.
MCAV was officially formed in 1970, and today provides a voice for those who are interested in better bush management, from increasing fuel-fire burns to controlling pest species, and is the only Not For Profit group to help advise and manage vast tracks of High Country across the state.
In 2023, Turnbull Hino were proud to be major ‘Platinum’ sponsors of the MCAV Get Together, including naming rights to the showcase event, the Open Cattlemen’s Challenge.
The G2G is an annual event celebrating the traditions and culture of Mountain Cattlemen as well as promoting Victoria’s heritage, growing tourism for the local region and building on community and country values.
Sharing a vision for a future that values and respects its past traditions and looks forward to a thriving future for our country regions built on strong social, environmental and economic pillars, we were thrilled to support our local MCAV branch with this event, drawing over 3,000 attendees to our region.
